The British Columbia Endocrine Research Foundation has just celebrated its first anniversary. It has been a busy year registering the Foundation as a non-profit society, forming a Public Advisory Council and implementing our fundraising strategies.
One of our many activities in our first year is the publication of this newsletter. It will be our way of providing informative articles on areas of interest in endocrinology and keeping you apprised of the Foundation’s activities. We anticipate that year two will be challenging and exciting and we will continue to communicate with all of you through The Quarterly Newsletter which will be sent to all donors, sponsors, numerous physicians and to most health centres.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated staff and volunteers for such a successful first year. Special thanks to our Board of Directors, Advisory Council, and our secretary, Dr. Eric Norman.
