Welcome to another issue of the BC Endocrine Research Foundation’s Quarterly Newsletter. With the upcoming women’s health symposium the focus of this issue is women’s health.
Leading off Dr. Chris Hitchcock provides some much needed balance to the discussion of the recently released extended cycle oral contraceptive. Media hype has been prolific yet little mention has been made of the science behind the decision to approve this birth control.
Colin White provides an introduction to his summer student research project conducted with CeMCOR and sponsored by the BC Endocrine Research Foundation. Hopefully we will have the follow-up report as well once the findings are published.
On Sunday November 23 we are sponsoring a Women’s Health Symposium that is free to the public. It will begin at 2:30 pm at the Vancouver Public Library in the Alice McKay Room. Please click the above link for more information.
Hope to see you there.
